Hey! i'm doing good mom. healthy and strong. elder ekaette is doing much better now, we had almost a normal week of going out it was sweet. yea, you're spelling his name right, it has two t's. he filled it out wrong on the form for his name tag, so its spelled wrong. we're waiting for a new one.

elder kalinja is a crazy, crazy man. i wish i could just have a conversation with you and just tell you about him. he's an interesting kid. one day. . .

thanks so much for the elder ekaette packages everyone!! he loved it. i got some sweet videos of him as we were opening them. i told him he could use the gym shorts to play football on mondays, and he was like "no, no, no no, the material is too nice i cant. i'll spoil them" haha . his favorite part was probably the watch, i dont think he takes it off even to sleep. he loved it. the interesting thing is that he tried to give A LOT of the stuff to other missionaries who didnt need the stuff as badly as him . . .

davids coming home, thats crazy! i reformatted the voice recorder, a virus had gotten on it but its working right now. so send me a recording of his homecoming!

right now the africa cup of nations is going on. its the equivalent of the gold cup in north america (ask jason) but its a big soccer tournament. ghana is in the semifinals of the tournament, the games are sooo sweet. these people are crazy about their "black stars."

i heard from another missionary, (elder woodhouse) that its the colts and saints in the superbowl. but im definately not thinking about that at all . . .

a couple of weeks ago i was at an internet cafe that had a tv and that was the day after the earthquake in haiti. it seemed to be bad at the time, but it didnt seem as bad as i'm hearing now!!! oh my gosh.

this week was cool. we comitted felicity for baptism on wednesday! i love that woman. we also comitted albert saalah. he is a teenage kid thats been coming to church for a while. he's way way quiet, you have to lean in to listen to him when he speaks. he speaks english well, though. he is an activated less active member referral (if that makes sense) . . . so even though i've accomplished the goal, elder ekaette hasnt so we've been working to finish it for him. so if he's baptised that'll finish the goal for him!

we met with nana (moree's chief) yesterday. i love meeting with him, cause he's one of the few people that can hold a legitamate conversation that involves alot of THINKING haha. in the villages people arent quite as educated . . . but remember he's taught at different universities around africa and hes been to europe to study and hes the man. we had like a two hour discussion about God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, all the different theories about them and stuff. elder ekaette was pretty quiet ha ha. alot of that i think had to do with the fact that chief is a pretty intimidating guy. even more so, though, even before he told me, i could tell that Elder Ekaette was from a village. the people that are from villages think and learn differently. sometimes in our companion study its like i'm in a lesson with one of our investigators haha. im not sure how much of the conversation he really understood, but he said he learnd alot that lesson.

i'm so proud of that kid though. he's learning so quick. he sent an email to you guys last week, but it got kicked back because at the blank where he was supposed to put your email address he put his own haha!
