Prepared from the day they were born

sorry you got released shauna, it really sounds like you did a really good job serving those girls. well done. i was also sorry to hear about the deavers. we (kinda) had a funeral this week too in the moree ward. the former bishop (he was released in june, like two or three months before i came to moree) died at the hospital last sunday. he'd been sick for some time now and he was suffering alot. african funerals are a little different than ours. its not until like a month after the person dies and at the funeral they basically just have a dance party. so that'll be at the end of next month. today after church the whole ward went over to the families house and we just sang a bunch of hymns and had a few speakers and stuff. it was really powerful.

by the way, it's crazy how much these people look up to their missionaries. we are more or less angels to them. when the first counselor, brother pratt was giving his talk, he quoted something that elder mackay told him as if i was like an apostle or something. but yea at the end, all of the melchezidic priesthood holders from the ward gave sister ansah a blessing it was really cool. the Spirit was there powerfully.

this week was long, but nice. we taught 11 lessons to families, which is like double the amount we've ever had in a week. i dont think i've mentioned it yet, but the new goal that president sabey just set for us was for every missionary to baptise a husband and wife. if the one is already a member and we baptise the other that also counts. we are sending people to the temple, yo.

and kobe and georgina are doing amazingly well. she's been to church four times in a little over a month now, and he's come a couple times too now. again, she was a less active, but he's never been interested in the church at all until the Lord decided to humble him. we discussed about prophets and told them about thomas s monson and then the next day came and we taught about joseph smith and after that asked them to pray and ask God if they are legit. they did. and that night they both had dreams in answer to their prayers. since they were young, these ghanaians have been prepared to enter into the kingdom of God i swear. i really just wish i had faith like them.

last week, on saturday, we were walking by these members homes and esther, a 15 year old girl we baptised called us over. she was washing her clothes with her friend. she said, "i want you to meet with her." her name was cecilia, and she's like 20 or 21. we couldnt meet with her that day, and she works during the week in cape coast, so we were able to meet on saturday this week. (she also brought a friend of hers to meet with us too). we met with her for like a half hour then left, we didnt even invite her to church yet. the next day (yesterday), she came to church. after church we went to visit her and she said that she loved the church. she said "i'm a member of your church now." (dont mention that story to dallin in ukraine or dustin in japan haha). i'll say it again - these people are being prepared from the day that they are born to become members of the true church. they just soak it up. its not always that easy, but it does happen this way sometimes, and it's humbling to be a witness of it.

also, there was a missionary that i became good buddies with named elder (kyle, i think) woodhouse. he's from colorado, and he just went home a couple of weeks ago. his sister lives in vegas and he's gunna come into town to visit her so he offered to deliver something small to my family. i sent a cd that should have all of my pictures and videos from the mtc, and with elder kalinja, with him with our address, number, and your email address. so he should be contacting you at some point. he was planning to come like at the very end of march or sometime in april i think but he wasnt positive.

also, sister saunder's email address is ____. her and her husband are awesome! they're in my district now.

well, i love you. elder adams and i are enjoying life right now. thanks for your examples and prayers. in the beginning of my mission i can say that i learned alot about how to recognize the Spirit and what i need to do to invite Him. now i feel like i'm moving ahead and learning how to be guided by Him in my decision making and studying in order to bless others as well as myself.

everything's going well here, dont stress about anything!
