today we went to the beach again and played some soccer. it was sweet. except the water was way warm and not cool enough haha. we went to cape coast castle a little while ago (me, elder ekaette, elder agama and elder thoronka). i think this week, our new apartment (me, elder adams, agama, and chesa) are gunna go to the elmina castle. its pretty humbling to see the kinds of lives these africans were forced to live.
send emails to jesse.mackay@myldsmail.net. if emails are sent to the old address it says it will forward it to this account but only until the end of this month. the new system is much much faster. its the same format as g mail so its sweet. as for emailing rules, president sabey changed the rule a few months ago. we are not allowed to write anyone by e-mail outside of our family or our companions family. technically i think i can recieve emails from non fam but i can only respond through mail.

ivin it up with elder adams. its like just going out proselyting with one of my buddies. its sweet.i forgot to tell you last week that sister saunders came up to me and was like "come, i have to take a picture with you. i'll tell you why after." and i was like "i'm sure it has something to do with my mom" and she was like "well, she posted a comment on my blog so . . . " haha! so i got her email address, but i forgot it at the apartment. sorry! so i'll bring it next week. (by the way, the scripture bag in the photo is from elder kalinja before he left me).
this week was a sweet week. we had long, hard proselyting days. but it makes me feel like a real missionary when i suffer. when i came i expected to suffer always, and to be honest, we dont suffer cause the people are sooo amazing and accepting towards the gospel here.
we taught this kid named sylvester that is just a brilliant teenager. his memory is amazing and he loves to learn about God. his prayers are amazing. saturday we taught him about prophets and told him
about thomas s monson. as we were leaving i turned to elder adams and said "if that kid prays he's GUNNA get an answer." well, he prayed. sunday we came back and he began to tell us about his experience. after he prayed, and as he was laying in bed thinking about it, a man's picture flashed into his mind real quick. then he "felt" a voice inside of his mind say "this is the prophet." he could only see the guy for a second, but he proceeded to tell us that the prophet was a white man, wasnt that tall, was old, had big ears, and "had hair like elder adams (dark brown), only, it was beginning to turn white." can YOU give a better description of the prophet?? its just amazing. the thing is that he goes to a boarding school and his school has been on vacation last week. so he goes back to school today or tomorrow. so we usually dont go to moree on mondays, but today were gunna try to meet him and bring a picture of Tommy . . . so we'll see!to answer your questions, yes i'm still doing way way good with my journal writing. i know i'm gunna enjoy reading it for the rest of my life. my shoes and clothes that i came with are doing perfect (i hope i dont have to buy again for the rest of my mission). i'm gunna need some new garments in a couple months, though. i dont really use sunscreen except on my nose a bit. i'm not that dark but i usually dont burn any more.
so i got a couple requests if that's ok. elder chesa was trained by elder waite (the one from vegas) but he doesnt have his email or any contact info. do you have any way of finding that out?? his mylds account has expired so that one's no good any more . . . the other thing is that elder agama wants to know if we could send him an 8 gig memory card (the same kind that i use) for his camera. i could use one too . . . so is there any way that you could buy a couple of em and send em?? you can take money out of my account, of course. i could also use some jerky haha!! thank you thank you thank you!
