First photos sent home

mom thanks sooo much for doing this camera stuff. i talked to elder kalinja and asked him your questions...and i told him that you know more about cameras than me or him...and he said that you can get any brand. he said he trusts you to get a good one haha.

also about that byu charge...i forgot to tell you about that haha! elder kalinja is applying to byu idaho and lds business collage!! he had no other way to pay the application fees so i paid for him with my credit card and he (hopefully :) ) will pay me back. thanks for looking into my bank stuff i owe ya one.

here's a pic of me and elder kalinja on our second day in moree.

i'm soooo fortunate to be here in this mission. during the hours of like 10-1 or 2 there is like nothing to do in moree. everyone is either a fisherman and leaves to work, or the women work in the market, or else the rich people will go to cape coast to work. we will walk and walk and walk all day long. sometimes elder kalinja gets discouraged and doesnt want to go out as early...but i'm trying to convince him that that is exacly how it is ALL DAY EVERY DAY in most other missions. we are soooo lucky. we are preparing for some more baptisms on the 21st!!(by the way, if you talk to dustins mom tell her to tell her bm face son to write me an email back!!)

send my congrats to kenz and joe!! thats soo sweet. i bet joe has a bunch of awesome pics of wynter on their blog haha. i love that name. and i cant wait for my letter from grandma jolley!!!

i'll try to send some voice recorder stuff or pictures after i'm finished with this email. hopefully it'll all work out. soorry it took so long.

i forgot to mention last week that last sunday we watched general conferance as a ward for church. it wouldve been cool, but it was in fante haha. and we watched one session, then the disc of the second session wasnt working so that was it! i think there was a problem with it when it was burned. at least the music was in english though, i've never paid as much attention to the choir before haha! they sang a song, hymn number 44 that is a song that we sing alot over here. "beautiful zion" i LOVE that hymn. i decided that that hymn selection was specifically for me cause i coulnt understand anything else haha.

this photo was taken during q temple trip we took while while i was at the MTC.

this sunday we confirmed our people we baptised which was sweet! i havent been to a sacrament meeting where we've had less than 10 investigators there :) (that we know of haha often we find out new people who have been coming to church for a while but never have been baptised).

well i guess i'll make this email a little shorter in an effort to conserve time for your pictures or voice recorder thingy. will you be putting the voice recording on the blog?? hows that going?? if i know you at all mom, i can assume that there are lots of entries and lots of decorations on the page uh?? haha thanks for everything you guys do for me, especially you, mommy!!! i love you!

love elder mackay
