hey!
did you ever get that email i sent last week with the three pictures and the video??
i bet owen rocked the mike yesterday. so i'm guessing he'll be going to provo in the next couple of days?? thats crazy that he's already going, he'll love it. its even crazier to think that i'll be home for like 8 months before he gets back. make sure and get me his email address when he has one so i can send him a little love. i probably wont write him for a little while though, cause when your new sometimes you have TOO much emails and stuff... but as time goes on that kinda dies down haha.
how is grandma jolley doing?? what about brenda and the mackay granparents?? chase?? all the babies that are gunna be born sometime?? what about josh and his woman? that just warms my heart that josh is an endowed priesthood holder right now. thats my boi.
well, this week was relatively eventless, except for the fact that elder adams got sick. at like two oclock on tuesday morning he threw up and it was all downhill from there. it was tough to watch - it reminded me of my time when i got sick. he was probably in more pain that i was when i was sick, but mine lasted alot longer so it might have been more miserable i guess. right when the sickness comes, you just die, i swear. its a whole nother level of sickness than anything we get back home. you dont have strength to do anything but lie down. sometimes you can work up the energy to roll over. his bad part only lasted like 25 - 30 hours, though. its not easy. on friday afternoon we went out to buy some rice, and we walked like a block there and a block back, and when we came back and he was just BEAT. after that, he slowly got his strength back and fought through some stomach aches until we were finally able to get out again to proselyte on saturday and sunday. its not easy. it seemed like it had been forever since we had left the apartment. he's doin good now. he lost a little weight and still tires quickly, but he'll be just fine.
there was one other crazy thing that happened this week. so transfers were two wednesdays ago. elder agama thought for sure that he was gunna be transferred, but it didnt happen. so our appartment stayed the same (adams, agama, chesa, and mackay). so that week ends and on either wendesday or thursday morning at like 9:30 president sabey calls. i looked at the phone and was kinda surprised, but whatev. i answered, and he asked if he could talk to elder agama. i gave the phone to him, and he was told that it was e.t. time! emergency transfers are the worst, cause their so unexpected... but elder agama's was ridiculous. after 8 months in yamoransa, he got a call at nine thirty and was gone to his new area by half past 11! no goodbyes, no nothing. its pretty rough. i'm gunna miss that boy - i've lived with him for my whole mission so far. there was another missionary (a ghanaian) that went home, so elder agama went and took his place. i'm just glad we're not in a threesome now, i hate threesomes. elder rappleye, from utah has come. he's a cool kid. so i've been in the apartment for 8 months now, and no one else has been here for more than 6 weeks haha.
besides that it was a relatively uneventful week. we didnt get to really teach much, but i got a lot of good catching up on journal entries and some sweet study time which was cool.
as far as things i need... there isnt too much. i loved how you sent the general conference ensign when it came out last time. could you do that again this time?? i could use some AA bateries i guess... those are super expensive here, which isnt cool, but on top of that, they'll last like a day and a half and die- it's pretty frustrating. but theres not too much else. if you can find a way to send ANYTHING DAIRY i'd love you forever. basically, the entire food group doesnt exist here. i suppose if you'd call sour, powdered milk mix dairy, then they got some ha!
but for real you dont worry about me, i'm healthy, working, learning, and loving it.
miss you!
love, elder mackay
