hey!
hope your week was good, mine was too. i CAN'T beleive that may (and basically 2010) is halfway over, time is just flying.
me and elder adams got alot of work done this week. we're still cleaning up our teaching pool, and going through all of the people that i've met over the last 9 months here, and some cool people are progressing.
yesterday we comitted two kids to baptism sometime next month so we'll see what all happens. i've also been going around and taking pictures and stuff with all my people here in moree in case i leave the area soon. we recieve transfer news tonight and i hope i stay so freaking bad. so i'll let you guys know next week what happens.
funny story. so there is this 20 something year old young woman in our ward named mary krumah mensah. she's a ward missionary, a sacrament meeting choruster, and relief society second counselor, and she's way cool. she is one of the three kids in moree with thier papers in and waiting for their calls. it's been about two months for 3 of them, so they should be coming pretty soon. so on tuesday, sister saunders says "do you know sister mensah from your ward?? she's been called to ghana cape coast mission!!" i was like wow, but i was also mad cause she didnt even tell me about it. so we went to visit her that day, and she said that she hadnt received her call yet! she goes, ''have you heard anything?'' and we were like ''uh, uh, no we havent...'' so by saturday night the stake pres had the call and called her and had her go and pick it up and she opened it then haha! im way excited cause shes cool. (actually, i can't lie, she'll be the first sister missionary in the mission who's name i know...)
so kobe and georgina are doing better than any other recent converts that i've ever been around. the first counselor, brother pratt, mentioned to us last week that they're gunna give her a calling in the young women's presidency sometime soon. and just in the past two weeks we've begun teaching kobe's best friend and his wife, kobe's brother, and his step father. he's also introduced us to two of his other brothers too!! i love them so much. if for no other reason, i'm so happy i've been in the area for so long just because if i had been transfered even one transfer earlier, i wouldnt have been able to witness this.
well, i got your package this week, mom. did you REALIZE that you sent me a CAMERA?? haha i was shocked when i saw it. thanks sooooomuch, it'll be nice to have a decent camera finally. i'm trying to find a sweet african that i can give the old one to with a couple of memory cards.
i bet that kolob is beginning to cool down by now, you guys got any cabin trips planned?? one of my good buddies from the mission, elder haslem (elder evans trainer) finishes his mission this week. anyways, he's from good ol' hurricane utah. i'll be able to see him after we get home so i'm excited about that.
anyways, i got a bunch to do today so i better finish up. i love you and pray for you every day!
